 The album cover to the right has now become oddly inappropriate as Lietuvos rytas reports that Gintarė was involved in a traffic accident driving home Friday night. Her Citroen C3 hit a cow that had escaped from a farm a few miles away. Other than the cow, no one seems to have been hurt too badly, though the facial injuries Gintarė sustained will seemingly slow her down a bit.
In the article's comments, however, a battle is raging over the fact that, according to the article:
Avariją sukėlusio gyvulio šeimininkas 47 metų Petras Buivydas iš Girdiškės kaimo tvirtino, jog telyčia pabėgo iš aptvertos ganyklos, kuri yra maždaug keturi kilometrai nuo avarijos vietos.

Ūkininkas mano patyręs 1200 litų nuostolį ir ketina reikalauti už karvę kompensacijos. Savo kaltės dėl greitkeliu šuoliavusios karvės jis nejaučia.
Anot P.Buivydo, dėl avarijos kaltas per greitai važiavęs automobilio vairuotojas.
Who is at fault? The driver of the car for going so fast he could not see the cow at night? The farmer for not being more diligent about making sure his cows don't run off? The town/country divide is available for view in the comments, though they found a third party to blame: the government, which hasn't fenced off the highway, "kaip tai yra normaliose šalyse."
Still, perhaps this comment is my favorite:
Va, dagyvenom, pagaliau ir Lietuvoj Amerika darosi.... visi tik ir ziuri, kam ka i teisma padavus - teisininku Lietuvoj laukia aukso amzius!
(By the way, the article lists the ages of every person involved in the accident but Gintarė herself.)
