        V. Romanov hoists the Scottish Cup. The news in Lithuania has been, from what I can tell, sort of thin—a perfunctory description of the event, and not much more. But as Saulius Mikoliūnas admits, Lithuania is still basketball-mad. The success of Hearts might, then, may take some time to filter down. Maybe these photos from the victory parade of the thousands of Hearts fans lining the streets of Edinburgh will help. Next year will be pretty interesting. Captain Steven Pressley is eager to help build a powerhouse (I read somewhere a joking suggestion that he be nominated manager of the year, considering that despite having four managers this year, Hearts still managed to have a successful season), the Lithuanians on loan from FBK Kaunas want to stay, and Romanov is already continuing with his accusations against forces aligned to keep Hearts down. |
