Hearts beat Kilmarnock today, 2–0, increasing their lead on Rangers in the Scottish Premiership for second place. Apparently, with today's win, they are guaranteed a spot in the UEFA Cup, and by remaining in second, they still challenge to end up in the Champions' League next year.

The Lithuanians had productive days, but Jankauskas failed to hit the back of the net. Hearts have four more matches this season, including away to Edinburgh rivals Hibs and home to first-place Celtic. They close the season away to Rangers on 7 May.

Once the Premiership season ends, Hearts will have a chance to rein in more success against second division leaders Gretna in the Scottish League Cup final on 13 May.
